Blue Collar

The trends of the past are just thriving to come back. You see them over shorts, under coats, layered as cardigans, tucked into pants, over sundresses, jean on jean, wear all year long. Denim shirts are no longer the black sheep of the button-up family. The denim top will forever be tied to an industrial America and the cowboys of the west. Thought you would never have to dust off this '80s fave? Think again.
Either roll up the sleeves of your denim shirt or leave it unbuttoned with a tank underneath. For a more feminine look, team up your denim shirt with a floral skirt or dress, or a pair of tan shorts. If you love an edgy style, try matching a denim shirt with black skinnies, a colored t-shirt and ankle boots. Accessorize with thin belts, silk scarves, a Panama hat, or cowgirl boots. If you wish to go all denim, choose a shirt in a lighter shade paired with darker jeans or you'll look like you'll look like you're ready to square dance. The denim comeback is an extension of this blossoming fashion phenomenon.
