It's LC, Baby

Laguna Beach babe turned Hills-Hottie turned best-selling novelist turned fashion designer is literally TURNING heads. Lauren Conrad is only 28 and already has built her own empire. Sure she had help from having the luxury of being raised in a rich California town that just so happened to become famous by MTV overnight, but she is the reason it was such a success. Everybody remembers "LC" as the star of the reality show, Laguna Beach. With such success from the show, she was offered her own spin-off in which she follows her dreams to Los Angeles: "The Hills." She learned so much from working with Teen Vogue and People's Revolution to the point where she left the show to create her empire. And boy did she. Conrad has written eight books, to which I am OBSESSED with. She designs for Papercrown and has her own line at Kohl's called "LC by Lauren Conrad." It is affordable fashion that can be worn by any age. We can't seem to get over how she is one of the few reality stars that is actually successful and not a total nut-- like her former bff Heidi Montag. Kudos to you, LC.
Here is the top outfits this summer for her collection at Kohl's:

These black 3D print shorts are to die for. this chiffon blouse with a structured collar adds some formality to this look and this can be worn to a more dressed-up events with some black pumps. This pink maxi dress is everything. A subtle ombre on a maxi dress makes the dress more interesting and has an extra pretty effect! Dip-dye dresses are perfection. Nothing is more on-trend right now than a circle skirt. Tuck this chiffon button-up tank into this black skirt for a more than flattering look.

Get nautical and nice in this first outfit. Blue and white: what is more crisp for summer? The crochet bib and the pleats on this navy top give it a signature charm and the white skinnies just make the outfit. If you want the long look but really don't want to wear a dress then this second outfit is the one for you. You've got a whimsical, cream chiffon maxi that is pleated and then mixed with a black tank with a peter pan collar-- this outfit is charming with a feminine flair. Love lace? Me too! This beautiful lace design all over the dress adds a sophistication to the occasion.

So let's say you have to go somewhere formal but it is so hot out, but you still want to look good. No fear here. Darkness Falls This Season

TAKE A WALK ON THE DARK SIDE
This season we are shifting back to black. Since when was wearing black ever considered fashion forward? You don't have to be considered goth anymore to wear all black. You have the power to make this color your own. One of the most classic, timeless colors is black. We all know this time of the year is a gloomy part of the year, so we feel like we can dress like it. Who cares? If I feel like wearing black I will wear black. I'm still a girly girl whose favorite color is pink, but I do like me some black. Wear black skinnies with a black leather jacket and you can never go wrong. What about the ever-so-famous LBD?! Take full advantage of it! Dare to bare in a black dress with a plunging neckline or opt for a dress with cut-outs for a more funky look. Black tights turn any dress or skirt up a notch to make you look super polished and professional. Bundle up in a warm black coat to hide your gloominess.  Basic black doesn't have to mean BORING! Be effortless, like Coco Chanel.

Ugly Christmas Sweater? No Way

Look festive without looking like you are trying to hard. Let's get one thing straight. Nobody actually wants to look ugly at an ugly Christmas sweater party. There are holiday traditions that will always remain: picking out your Christmas tree, baking gingerbread cookies with grandma, unwrapping those presents under the tree. But one present that seems like it is here to stay: ugly Christmas sweaters. We have made this tacky holiday event into a trend that lasts all the holiday season. There is nothing wrong with looking festive, you just don't need to wear a shirt that has light up bulbs that blink. Take it in moderation but still have fun with it. Why do we love these festive sweaters so much? They give us instant holiday cheer! It's never to early to get in the holiday spirit. Some of us get the winter blues, because contrary to belief this isn't the most cheerful time of the year, but you can make it fun if you try!
Get this reindeer sweater at ASOS for $59.95
Get this Christmas tree sweater at WILDFOX COUTURE for $297

Show Off Your Spots

Unleash your inner spots! We all have a little feline waiting to roar so why not show it off in a scarf? The leopard scarf is nothing new, but why not keep it around for as long as we can- I mean after all it is a timeless print. Less is more. Some may think animal print is tacky, but all you have to do is wear it in moderation- besides any animal print on clothes, BESIDES a scarf in my opinion is extremely tacky. Some may think animal print shouldn't be on clothing because of animal rights, but you aren't actually wearing the animal and you aren't doing it intentionally- I am against the wearing of fur, so as long as your leopard print scarf isn't make of real fur, we can  remain friends. Since in the colder months people like to bundle up to be as warm as they can, a leopard print scarf can add a dash of glamour to your outfit. You can choose to rock it with a simple tee and jeans. Be edgy and rock that scarf with a leather jacket and some dark colored skinnies. Maybe perhaps a sweater and some riding boot with your hair in a bun? You can't go wrong with wearing a leopard print scarf with the ever-so-famous camel coat. So unleash your inner animal and go bold with a scarf.

Combat to Me

Where are the tough-girl "soles" in this world? Literally. Accentuate your feet with the soles of combat boots. Sometimes we need a break from cutesy outfits and diamonds and all that jazz. You don't have to dress like an androgynous person to rock these boots! These shoes can be used to accent your girlish pieces. Back in the day these rough n' tough boots were woolly socks flannel worthy, now they're tights and floral worthy. You don't have to feel obligated to wear jeans and a leather jacket with your combat boots. Mix it up and don't be afraid to wear them with dresses and skirts of all types. Do something different and pair your combat boots with a maxi dress or if you're feeling those military vibes wear some skinnies and a green jacket with leather sleeves. Feeling hipster? How about some high waisted shorts with black tights and a baggy sweater. If you're still feeling those flannel roots there is nothing wrong with the classic look of a flannel and  a beanie.

Not only are combat boots cute, but they are extremely sustainable and comfy- which is an added plus to looking great. These boots are just as important in the fashion world and they are in military training!

The top left buckled boots are Lucky Brand and can be found at Nordstrom. The bottom left old school lace up shoes are Shi Ryder and can be found at Journey's. The top left with a little pop of colored floral is Steve Madden and can be found at Nordstrom and the bottom Doc lookalikes are Arizona and can be found and JCPenney.

Nice Booties

Are you knee-deep in the latest footwear trends? Well now you only have to bee ankle-deep. Ankle booties have proven their staying power They may be the only pair of shoes that looks killer with bare legs, skinny jeans, tights, slouchy trousers, or any outfit you could dream up. Turn your heads to get a glimpse of lace up combats, a pair of classic chelseas, chunky heeled, or sky high stiletto booties. The great thing about ankle boots is you can wear them with almost anything. Instead of topping your outfit off with a boring flat, the ankle boot will add an edge to your outfit like no other. For your simple yet chic daily outfit, pair your booties with some skinnies, a cozy sweater or blazer, and scarf. If you're not a jeans girl, ankle boots look perfect with dresses or skirts. They can even toughen up the girliest dress in your closet. Although the weather is getting colder, wear some high waisted shorts with some tights along with your ankle boots and look warm whilst doing so. Let your ankles do the talking.

Green with Envy

What color reads fall? Green! Ahh it feels as if you are taking a trip to Emerald City. Redheads rejoice. There are different shades and hues for every skin tone out there. It could either be a pair of earrings, a jacket, pants, a dress, even eye makeup. Green is a color that can transition throughout the whole year; from moss green, , hunter, to emerald, to neon. People are naturally attracted to the color green because it represents life, so why not wear it and grab the attention of others?

Lace is always a classy choice, but sometimes lace dresses aren't always that warm. But in fashion, we risk the cold to look cute, and a green lace dress looks fall enough to make it look like it was meant to be worn in the cold weather. The best time to wear a green sweater, is all the time; in a time where green trees turn brown and lose their life, you be the tree. Accenting a plain colored dress with a bold emerald necklace draws everyone's attention to your smile. Want to brighten up your face? Green smoky eyes are all the rage this fall to bring out your natural color in your face. And of course we have the ever-so-famous military jacket. Pair it with a striped top, some skinnies, and some flats for a casual chic look, and don't forget your red lipstick. These clothes will make you green with envy.

Pick Fresh Fashion From Your Garden

Flowers are only for Spring? Who said that gardens couldn't grow in the cold weather? As the weather gets colder, the colors of clothing get darker. Spring and summer florals mean fluorescent pinks and yellows that scream in your face, but Fall has a more romantic approach replacing those colors for blacks and reds.

Adding leather gives almost anything that edge you need, so pair a leather jacket with a floral dress or slip on some leather pants to a pretty floral blouse to maintain a feminine look but look like a badass at the same time. Even try adding some wooly tights to keep your legs warm, too. If you need to keep warm during this fall weather, add a floral blazer for a chic professional look. Any type of printed pant screams attention. Pants with a floral print say: "I want to look casual but i also want to command attention when I walk in the room." You don't always have to be decked out head to toe in floral to get a spring vibe in the middle of Winter. Fashion designers understand that sometimes we need to bundle up in heavy jackets so they make accessories that make the outfit pop. Why not add a floral purse? It seeks the attention you want from hiding under than solid color jacket of yours.

Florals during wintertime is all about having fun in the not-so-fun weather. Embrace your inner "lady."

Beanie Baby

Remember Beanie Babies? Well now all you have to do is put a beanie on your head and you can call yourself one. Pairing knit beanies  coats, leather, and colorful clothing is becoming a fall trend to watch out for. Wearing a being gives you more of a reason to look cute whilst keeping warm. Whether it be a slouchy beanie, fitted beanie, pom pom beanie, or hat beanie, they can make even the most stylish outfit, effortless. They used to be for the skaters and the hipsters but not anymore. When wearing a mono-toned outfit, choose a bright beanie for a pop of color to defeat those winter blues. You don't need an over the top beanie to look cute and comfy, just a plain beanie will suffice to help you stand out. when you wear a bold outfit, go for a gray beanie so you don't look like a head-to-toe crayon.

Don't forget to pay attention to how you style your hair when you wear a beanie. for long head where your hair down and keep your bangs side-swept. For shorter hair, do as messy curl. If you are having a bad hair day, just wear a low ponie to one side of your face.

Beanies aren't just for the cold weather. They are an all year round trend that seem to be really popular nowadays when worn with high-waisted shorts. But since its fall, beanies are everywhere.

It's a jungle out there! Literally. People everywhere seem to be sporting little animal on their shirts. These cute little creature is the mascot for fall. Rock Around the Clock

It smells like teen spirit in the crisp, fall air. Rock out this season in your new fall clothes. And no, you don't have to be in a rock band or a Nirvana music video to channel your inner Madonna. You can do this in a tasteful, modern way without looking like you just game here from the 1990s grunge phase. Welcome to the redefined 21st century: edgier than ever.

Live in Leather: What better way to be edgy then to wear a little leather? Or a lot! Leather, whether it's real or not, looks good on almost everyone. Are you biker chic? Add a leather jacket to a pair of skinnies, and a baggy T and top it off with a hat and black booties. Are you a leggy gal? Then leather pants are perfect for you! For a casual look add an over the shoulder T and an infinity scarf and some sneaker wedges. For a nighttime look wear your leather pants with a bold peplum top and some insane pumps. Feeling girly but still want to look edgy? Wear a leather skirt! Tight or flowy, either or looks great. Wear a tight leather skirt with a cropped top or a slightly baggy shirt. For the flowy skirt, wear it with a button up chiffon blouse tucked in and some tights. Want to look like a total knockout? Wear leather head to toe in a leather dress. Just be warned not to wear it too tight.

Pass the Peas, Please

Unfortunately summer has left the building and fall walked right in. But no worries, Fall and Winter's best friend will keep you nice and warm. Mother Nature is a mystery, and jackets and blazers are never going to guarantee to keep you warm so you need something more. What is the most timeless piece that somebody could have in their closet? A peacoat. No matter what your taste is, you'll be able to rock a peacoat in your own way. The peacoat made its debut about 200 years ago and it's not going anywhere. Peacoats were never actually originally intended for women, but things have changed. Just walk into your local Macy's and its coats galore, darling. Don't forget to accessorize! For plain color coats, try a bold colored scarf for that pow! For those colorful peacoats, try a patterned scarf, but don't forget to match. When in doubt, belt it out.

Do a Twirl for me, Girl: Feeling girly? Try something like this inspired Gossip Girl dress peacoat above. Pair a dress peacoat with your bare legs and some thigh-high boots for a more edgy look or pair it with black tights and some little black ankle booties for that cutesy look. Forget the outfit underneath, the dress is the focal-point.

A Little Color Never Killed Nobody: Fall doesn't always have to mean dull colors! Forget the gray, black, and brown; go for bolds! This red coat above is perfect for fall. Pair it with your favorite skinnies and flats for a casual look to run errands in.

When in Doubt, Let it all Out: Do you really want to keep warm, but you really want to show off your stylish outfit underneath? Don't even bother to button it up,unless it is way too freezing to do so. Make sure that the peacoat is somewhat fitting so that when you leave it unbuttoned you don't look like you are drowning in your coat.

A Flattering Fit: Are you wearing your dad's coat? Of course not! So why would you want to look like you are? You need to make sure your peacoat is fitted. Women's peacoats are meant to be tailored for extreme definition. If your peacoat is a little big, belt it. To balance out the fit, when skinny pants or a pencil skirt. Wear a simple outfit when it comes to wanting to show off your peacoat.

Heel Appeal

Pump it Up: No matter how many styles change, pumps will forever be in. Just like the little black dress, they are a must in every woman's closet. They can be peep toe, pointy toe, open toe, round toe or even square toe. These heels can go from daytime to nighttime with some simple adjustments to your wardrobe. Looking to add some length to those legs? Add some pumps!
Sky High: If life just isn't close enough in reach for you and you need a lift, reach for a pair of platform heels! During the 70's platform shoes adorned the feet of men and women, but now it's safe to say they're only for women. You can strap them on for fall in your high waisted skirts or dresses. Go out in style just don't stumble!

Live on the Wedge: Any time of the year nowadays means wedges, end of story. They reach out to all ages and come in varieties of colors and patterns. Wedge sandals are sexy yet cute and extremely versatile.

Short Story

This summer is nothing short of fashion. It's that time of the year, to show those long legs of yours off! Your legs are the most dangerous weapon of the body, might as well make men drop their jaws when you walk in the room! Wether its shorts in denim or leather, with prints in bright colors, long or short, wide or high waisted you're sure to accomplish one of the above.
Tailor Made: Heat up the workplace and look like your ready to impress the big shots in these sleek, professional style shorts. These shorts will most likely be high waisted and have some sort of belt whether it's a rope or a chic bow. Add some inches to those legs with some heels and you'll be sure to show some sex appeal.
Shred It: Denim shorts will never go out of style, but you can change up those denim shorts to add some spice to your simple outfit. You can grab a pair of scissors and start shredding the pockets; or if your good with sharp objects, go wild and shred up the whole leg! Now all thats left is adding a simple tee or crop top and some flip flops and your good to go for a hot summer day.
Pretty in Print: Style history repeats itself, so why not go for some retro print shorts? Floral shorts are here to make your summer just a little more fresh and fun. Tribal shorts are all the rage right now and all you have to do is tuck in a plain tee. Pattern shorts are a sure hit and a revival of the 70's so you are sure to look like a fashionista this summer!
Color Theory: Make a statement in BBC (bright, bold, and colorful) shorts! J Crew has definitely set the pink shorts in stone this season. The easy way to rock a winning style is by color-blocking similar colors together.
